This is the Ozma era. After being restored to her natural form and setting aside her years as Tip, HRH Princess Ozma has assumed her rightful place in The Palace. She now is the much-loved, just, and benevolent, Ruler of Oz. Her administration is carefully crafted to cater to the needs of her subjects and citizens.

While the Wizard is still in Oz and welcome in the Royal Court, he no longer holds a position of power and has relinquished any claim to The Crown. He has pledged his loyalty to Ozma and continues to work diligently on behalf of the people of Oz. His “Wonderful” title has long been retired.

Elphaba Thropp, the alleged Wicked Witch of the West, has not been seen or heard from in many years, believed dead, melted by a bucket of water. Unbeknownst to anyone (other than Fiyero and Glinda’s Magic Book), she has been hiding in internal exile, clandestinely meeting with her longtime love, Fiyero, and sometimes secretly performing miraculous acts of charity.
