Faeries and witches are able to arrest the aging process at a time of their choosing. In some cases, they can even reverse the aging process.
Under an enchantment and appearing as Tip, the princess continued to age. But once the spell was broken, she assumed her true faery form and aging came to a halt. She has chosen to remain at this stage of maturity indefinitely. This means her ages of wisdom and maturity belie the appearance of a very young woman.
Mortal humans continue to age but much more slowly than in other worlds.
As a faery, HRH Princess Ozma cannot be killed but she can be temporarily injured. The healing process for faeries is remarkably fast.
Dragons enjoy a full lifecycle which spans many thousands of years.
Despite some aging and unfortunate accidents, death is rare in Oz. Birth is equally rare. So, the population remains nearly constant.
