Broadcast licenses are awarded by Royal Decree and serve the Ozian public at the pleasure of The Princess. Newspapers and other publications are free and unfettered, though slander, libel, and incitement are grounds for reprimand and possible reparations.

A Governor General is appointed by Ozma as her representative in each country of Oz. The Governors General have regular meetings with the Princess, individually and as a group, to update her on the local goings on. The Governor General approves or rejects, on be half of The Crown, all locally-passed legislation.
A Governor is elected by the local people.
A unicameral legislature of representatives is elected by the people. The People’s Assembly.

While there are local councils to mediate minor disputes, there is no national Ministry of Justice. HRH Princess Ozma is Justice. Often in consultation with Glinda and the Royal Advisors, Ozma is the ultimate arbiter of Justice and the final word on any and all disputes in Oz.
